The Mission: Build the Brain of VaaS - Vehicule As A Service
We are looking for a Senior Data & AI Lead to build the data and intelligence backbone of our Vehicle-as-a-Service business.
This role is not only about implementing AI use cases. It is about creating the Unified VaaS Data Core: the governance model, the business ontology, and the AI/headless access layer that will allow our teams, customers, partners, and future agents to query, understand, and act on VaaS data at scale.
This is a high-impact Data Platform, AI Product, and Business Architecture role. The challenge is to connect fragmented sources — fleet, finance, sales, operations, contracts, insurance, customer demand, and partner activity — into one governed intelligence layer that can power operational decisions, AI assistants, and future agent-to-agent interactions. You will unify and govern data coming from SAP (Finance), Salesforce (CRM), fleet systems, dealer stock, demand/supply signals, pricing, contracts, insurance, customer tickets, Aircall/field feedback, partner APIs, and operational workflows.
The target architecture is headless and agent-ready: humans, internal bots, customer assistants, and third-party AI agents must be able to access governed VaaS data through secure APIs, tools, and natural-language interfaces, with full permissions, rationale, traceability, and feedback loops.
Key Responsibilities
You will act as the senior owner of the VaaS Data & AI domain: structuring the roadmap, coordinating data analysts, data engineers, and product/tech teams, defining operating rituals, and progressively building the team and infrastructure required to support VaaS as a scalable business line.
Data Governance & Operating Model: Define the VaaS data governance framework: ownership, quality standards, lineage, access rights, documentation, data catalog, business definitions, and prioritization rituals across Business, Product, Tech, and Finance.
Team Leadership & Coordination: Provide functional leadership to data analysts, data engineers, and AI builders working on VaaS topics. Create the cadence, roadmap, and decision framework that ensures data work is 100% connected to business priorities.
Strategic Translation & Business Vision: Interface with business stakeholders (Finance, Ops, Marketing, Sales) to identify high-ROI use cases. You don’t just "receive tickets"; you challenge the needs and propose AI-driven solutions. Success will be measured by business impact: faster operator onboarding, lower cost-to-serve, improved fleet utilization, better risk/insurance/TCO decisions, and the creation of a scalable data moat.
Technological Leadership (Agnostic): You will be responsible for selecting the technical stack. You will evaluate and implement the best tools for model orchestration, vector storage, and agentic frameworks.
Hands-on Implementation: You are a "Maker." You will build the end-to-end architecture, from RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines to the integration of AI agents into our existing tools (Slack, Jira, Google Workspace).
Workflow Automation: Develop workflows connecting Large Language Models to our systems of record (SAP, Salesforce, Atlassian) to automate repetitive business processes.
AI-Ready Documentation: Promote "LLM-ready" documentation standards across the tech team, ensuring our codebase and processes are easily ingestible by AI agents.
Autonomous Delivery: You own the project lifecycle. While you can collaborate with the central Data team for infrastructure support, you are the primary driver of the VaaS Intelligence Engine's technical execution.
Technical Profile
We are looking for a senior, pragmatic builder with strong data platform and AI product experience:
Data Engineering & Architecture: Strong experience designing data platforms, data models, semantic layers, APIs, and governed data products.
Modern Data Stack: Solid understanding of SQL, data warehouses/lakehouses, ETL/ELT, data quality, cataloging, lineage, and access control.
AI/LLM Implementation: Strong knowledge of RAG, natural-language querying, agentic workflows, evaluation, prompt systems, and model/tool orchestration.
Pragmatism: Ability to select technologies across cloud, vector databases, and orchestration frameworks without being locked into a specific vendor.
Software Skills: Strong software/API understanding, ideally with Python and REST/GraphQL integrations.
Enterprise Ecosystems: Experience working with fragmented systems such as ERP, CRM, ticketing, or partner APIs.
Cloud & Security: Cloud experience (AWS preferred). Strong security, privacy, and governance mindset (GDPR, enterprise access control).
Leadership & Business Profile
Seniority: Senior enough to operate with executive stakeholders and challenge business priorities.
Structure: Able to build structure where none exists: roadmap, rituals, governance, and operating cadence.
Matrix Management: Comfortable providing functional leadership to analysts and engineers even when reporting lines are matrixed.
Business Translator: Able to connect data/AI work to P&L, AOI, cost-to-serve, and platform valuation.
Delivery-oriented: A pragmatic builder who ships iterative value instead of academic AI concepts.
Communication: Fluent in English; French is a plus.
